Meeting Activities

Our meetings usually include:
-
a case study which deals with a real life issue faced by business executives.
-
a book review by a theologian or Christian business executive which helps provide Christian solutions for the executive to the case study
-
the Apostolic Executive solution which pulls from the book reviewed, biblical passages, and spiritual reflection.
The first part of the meeting, including the Bishops Spiritual Reflection and prayers, takes only about fifteen to twenty minutes. The next 55 minutes allows the executives to discuss the case study and the sharing of real business experiences in dealing with the solution.
"These 55 minutes are dynamite," says Joe Silvoso, one of the Society's founders, "Christian business leaders sharing ideas on how to solve business issues in a Christ-based fashion. I do not believe anyone has left a meeting without at least one idea on how to practice their faith in guiding their business decisions and actions."
At our August 18, 2009 meeting, we had a lively and spirited discussion of Pope Benedict's new encyclical Caritas in Varitate. The group decided to continue the review and discussion at the September 22 meeting at OLQA. For details, click the Agenda - 8/18/09 link below.
Our September 22, 2009 meeting was
our first cross-cultural Apostolic Executive meeting with Vietnamese
business owners. The meeting was revealing and inspiring
with our Catholic brothers sharing stories of their businesses. For more
information on this meeting, click the links below dated 9/22/09.
